On the occasion of World Radiology Day, Parumala Hospital’s Clinical Radiology Department announced the Delhi National Board’s DNB Radio Diagnosis course, a postgraduate program equivalent to the MD Radio Diagnosis in medical colleges. The three-year program is open to candidates with an MBBS degree, providing them with advanced training in radiology diagnosis.
The event was presided over by H.G. Dr. Zacharias Mar Aprem, the Metropolitan of Adoor Kadampanadu Diocese, in the presence of Fr. M.C. Poulose, the hospital CEO. Honorable Kerala Agriculture Minister, Shri. P. Prasad, inaugurated the event and officially announced the launch of the DNB Radio Diagnosis course.
Adding to the day’s highlights, renowned actor Shri. Vinay Forrt inaugurated the new Fatty Liver Clinic, which will provide specialized care for liver-related diseases.
Following the inaugurations, Dr. Anirudh V. Nair, Senior Consultant and Clinical Lead of the Radiology Department, provided insights into the department’s ongoing projects and future vision. Dr. Jobin Varkey Pothen, Senior Consultant Radiologist, spoke about the growing need for the Fatty Liver Clinic, while Dr. Aditya Das, Consultant Radiologist, led a session on the essential role of radiologists in cancer diagnosis.
