The Department of Pediatrics aims at providing complete health care to infants, children and adolescents. The department works in close cooperation with the Child Development Centre as well as the department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and is supported by various specialties including audiology and physiotherapy departments. We are a baby friendly hospital, where all babies are exclusively breast fed, with direct and expressed breast milk.

In addition to 24 hours pediatric emergency services, the department also offers general routine outpatient care as well as vaccination services. Our pediatricians keep track of the child’s health history with the help of our advanced electronic medical records. This ensures continuity in care which is absolutely crucial for infants and children.

The ten bedded Neo Natal intensive Care unit (NICU) has the sophisticated Drager Baby log 8000 plus ventilator, double surface phototherapy units and infant warmers. There is centralized O2 and suction for every bed, in addition to 8 blue light and LED phototherapy units. The NICU is equipped with staff trained for neonatal resuscitation and new born care.
