Medical Oncology Department provides treatment for broad range of solid tumors and haematological malignancies with the help of chemotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal therapy and immunotherapy. We strictly adhere to NCCN (USA) and ESMO (European) guidelines for selecting optimal treatment strategies for our patients. Chemotherapy is administered at dedicated chemotherapy wards with strict infection control by specially trained nursing staff.
Parumala Hospital of excellence in Cardiac Sciences is the facility of Cathlab with a state of the art electrophysiology lab/Intravascular ultrasound, fractional flow reserve estimate and Rotablation.

Department of Radiation Oncology provide superior care to cancer patients supported by latest technology and high precision treatment delivery equipments. We use state of the art radiation treatment techniques such as Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), 3-Dimensional Conformal Radiotherapy (3DCRT) and High Dose Rate Brachytherapy (HDR). We follow ASTRO (USA) and ESTRO (European) guidelines for radiation treatment planning. The department has multi energy Elekta “Synergy” machine for external beam radiation treatment which ensures high precision treatment with minimal side effects.
The focus of Palliative Care Department is to provide best supportive care for patients at the terminal stage. We ensure best quality of life for the patient and their families which includes cancer pain management and rehabilitation services.

The Nuclear Medicine Department at St Gregorios International Cancer Care Center is the first comprehensive Nuclear Medicine Department in Central Travancore. Nuclear Medicine is a branch of medicine that makes use of radioactive medicines for diagnosis and treatment of diseases. A small dose of radioactive medicine is introduced into the body (oral route or by injections) and functions of various organs in the body are imaged. Relatively larger doses of radioactive medicines are used for treatment, mainly for treatment for hyper functioning thyroid gland, thyroid cancer, treatment of bone pain, treatment of certain types of cancer like neuroendocrine tumors and prostate cancer. Diagnostic scans and treatment in nuclear medicine are very safe and painless. The nuclear medicine department has facilities like gamma camera, PET/CT, low dose and high dose radionuclide therapy and thyroid cancer clinic.
The Head and Neck Oncology & Reconstructive Surgery department has excellence in the evaluation and treatment of a wide spectrum of head and neck malignancies. Head and neck cancer comprises of a wide range of tumours that can develop in several areas of the head and neck, including the mouth, throat, larynx (voice box), nose, sinuses, thyroid and salivary glands. An experienced and efficient team of head and neck Surgical Oncologist, Radiation Oncologists, Medical Oncologists, Radiologists and Nuclear Medicine specialists’analyses and manage and all such cases.
