Dr.Abin Varghese Thomas

Dr. Abin Varghese is our Consultant Pulmonologist & Critical Care with more than 8 years of experience. Dr. Abin Varghese Thomas in currently associated as consultant, respiratory medicine and critical care with St. Gregorios Medical Mission Hospital, Parumala.
He completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. He did his DNB in respiratory medicine from Kerala Institute of Medical Science, Thiruvananthapuram and went on to complete his fellowship in critical care from the same institute.
A thorough academician through his career and has more than six publications in national and international journal and published one book for MBBS curriculum. His area of interest includes Lung cancer, Asthma, COPD, pleural diseases, sleep disorders, obesity associated, lung disorders, tuberculosis, post Covid lung disease, occupational lung disease and other rare lung disease like Sarcoidosis, interstitial lung diseases.
He is well trained in procedures like Bronchoscope, closed pleural Biopsy, thoracoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound guided lymph node biopsy, and intercostals tube insertion and it’s management and in an expert in managing ventilated patients both through the invasive and non invasive interface.
