Microbiology
The microbiology lab is responsible for all the screening as well as advanced diagnostic techniques for the detection of organisms causing infections. It serves as the nodal point of surveillance for the hospital infection control team.
Facilities & Services
- Staining procedures for bacterial, fungal and mycobacterium studies, to aid in preemptive diagnosis.
- Culture of all samples like blood, urine, pus, body fluid, including screening for organisms like MRSA.
- Participating in revised national TB control program (RNTCP)
- Automated VITEK 2 compact for bacterial identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing for accurate results in the shortest possible time which may be life saving for the patient
- Antigen test as well as molecular diagnosis of COVID-19
