The Head and Neck Oncology & Reconstructive Surgery department has excellence in the evaluation and treatment of a wide spectrum of head and neck malignancies. Head and neck cancer comprises of a wide range of tumours that can develop in several areas of the head and neck, including the mouth, throat, larynx (voice box), nose, sinuses, thyroid and salivary glands. An experienced and efficient team of head and neck Surgical Oncologist, Radiation Oncologists, Medical Oncologists, Radiologists and Nuclear Medicine specialists’analyses and manage and all such cases.
The head and neck tumorboard discuss each case in detail to ensure that the best treatment is provided keeping in mind the specific requirement of each patient. The board meets regularly to analysesthe results to improve patient care. Having experts from all the disciplines in the board, it ensures that the treatment plan is well coordinated andeven after the treatment is over the patient has better recovery and rehabilitation for a fruitful life ahead.In addition to oncology services, the team also caters to reconstructive surgeries of the head and neck including facial deformity correction, facial nerve disorders and secondary detect reconstruction after surgeries done elsewhere. The team also renders sub-specialty ENT services for snoring, voice disorders (laryngology), neuro-oncology and airway disorders.
